Overview
The Project Comparison Tool is a feature inside of DENSO’s Wincaps3 software which allows you to check the differences between your Wincaps3 project files on your PC and the actual project data loaded onto DENSO controller. This can be very useful for determining if something has changed on the controller relative to the project data on your PC.
This feature comes with a purchased license of Wincaps3 and does not require additional activation.
Tools and Parts Needed
Registered Wincaps3 license key.
Note: If you are not sure which part number you need or the Robot Arm you own please stop and contact your DENSO Robotics sales representative.

Step by Step Guide
Step 1Open up Wincaps3 | |
Step 2Log in as Operator level or higher | |
Step 3Open the project that you want to compare files to | |
Step 4Confirm connection to the controller (Ethernet or RS232) | |
Step 5On Wincaps3, click TOOL > PROJECT COMPARISON |  |
| Step 6 Wincaps3 will proceed to receive the controller data in and store it the data into a temporary location. It will not overwrite the existing project data on Wincaps3. |  |
| Step 7 Once the transfer is completed, a separate window will pop up showing the comparison data. If there are no changes, the result column will show up as OK. If there is a difference, it will be highlighted in yellow and show as NG under the results column. |  |
| Step 8 From this window, you can click the Output Result button on the top right and the project comparison can save this list of changes to a .csv file so you can view the changes inside of Excel. |  |
| Step 9 Excel view Note, this function is available for all controllers that are compatible with Wincaps3 as of version 3.67.0. This includes the RC7, RC8, RC9, and CRC9 controllers. |  |
